The Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted to Governor Kemp recommendations to fill vacancies within the State Court of DeKalb County, Jury Division (Division A) and the State Court of DeKalb County, Traffic Division (Division B).  The vacancy in the Jury Division was created by the resignation of the Honorable Dax Lopez and the vacancy in the Traffic Division was created by the appointment of the Honorable Kimberly Alexander to the Jury Division.  Governor Kemp will fill the vacancy from among the list.  The Governor’s Office will contact candidates to schedule interviews.

The following names were submitted to Governor Kemp:

  • Vanessa Kosky – associate judge, Doraville Municipal Court; owner, The Law Office of Vanessa Kosky, PC
  • Ana Maria Martinez – president, Georgia Latino Law Foundation; staff attorney, DeKalb County State Court, Division 6, Honorable Dax E. Lopez
  • A’Sheika L. Penn – deputy chief assistant district attorney, Office of the District Attorney, DeKalb County
  • Brian K. Ross – presiding associate judge and associate judge, State Court of DeKalb County – Traffic Division
