The Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted recommendations to fill vacancies within the Superior Court of the Southern Judicial Circuit and the Supreme Court of Georgia.  The vacancy within the Southern Judicial Circuit was created by the resignation of the Honorable James G. Tunison, Jr.; and the vacancy within the Supreme Court of Georgia was created by the resignation of the Honorable Keith R. Blackwell.  Gov. Kemp will fill the vacancies from the recommendations provided.  The Governor’s Office will contact candidates to schedule interviews.

Southern Judicial Circuit

  • Christina “Tina” L. Folsom – Of Counsel, Langdale Vallotton, LLP

Supreme Court of Georgia

  • Sara L. Doyle – Judge, Court of Appeals of Georgia
  • Carlton LaTain “Tain” Kell – Judge, Superior Court, Cobb Judicial Circuit
  • Shawn Ellen LaGrua – Judge, Superior Court, Atlanta Judicial Circuit
