The Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted recommendations to fill vacancies within the State Courts of Henry and Jenkins Counties and the Superior Courts of the Griffin Judicial Circuit.  The vacancy in Henry County is being created by the retirement of the Honorable Ben W. Studdard III, September 1, 2021.  The vacancy in Jenkins County is being created by the retirement of the Honorable R. H. Reeves, III, effective July 1, 2021.  The vacancy in the Superior Court of the Griffin Judicial Circuit was created by the resignation of the Honorable Christopher Charles Edwards, effective March 8, 2021. 

Governor Kemp will fill the vacancies from among the lists.  The Governor’s Office will contact candidates to schedule interviews.
