JNC recommends candidates for Dougherty, Enotah, Northern, Ocmulgee, and Ogeechee Judicial Circuits

The Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted recommendations to fill vacancies within the Superior Courts of the Dougherty, Enotah, Northern, Ocmulgee, and Ogeechee Judicial Circuits.  The vacancies within the Dougherty and Ocmulgee Judicial Circuits were created by the appointments of the Honorable Stephen S. Goss and the Honorable E. Trenton Brown, III to the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia.  The vacancies within the Enotah, Northern, and Ogeechee Judicial Circuits were created by the resignations of the Honorable Murphy C. Miller, the Honorable Thomas L. Hodges, III, and the Honorable William E. Woodrum, Jr.   Governor Deal will fill the vacancies from among the lists.  The Governor’s Office will contact candidates to schedule interviews.

The following names were submitted to Governor Deal:

Dougherty Judicial Circuit

  • Victoria S. Darrisaw – Chief Judge, Dougherty County State Court
  • Leisa G. Johnson – Chief Public Defender, Dougherty Judicial Circuit

Enotah Judicial Circuit
